The Creative Process
C.G. Jung saw creativity as that “field” in the psyche that
contains the great energy of the creative unconscious. From that place,
not from the conscious mind, comes our dreams, intuitions, hunches, imagination,
our longing for meaning, and a sense of purpose; from that place also
comes our age old knowing, as in the wisdom body, and our longing for
the Sacred. The creative process is based on the idea that in the unconscious
there are undeveloped seeds; powerful, vibrant, and filled with a potential
for a genuinely conscious life. It is born from an awareness that the
deep psyche is a sacrament, a sacred place one enters not by technique
or reason, but out of a desire for something holier that the mind.
Feedback about Creative Process Training and Workshops:
“I've
been to more than a dozen workshops, and each has been a gift. I've
met amazing people of many cultures, countries, professions, ages,
and life situations. Whether new to group, or an old-timer, the
loving acceptance of each person fosters an open and authentic sharing
of the heart and what’s in it. Healing tears and laughter create
an ambiance that is intensely growthful, and at times, just plain fun.
Over these weekends I’ve enjoyed nurturing food for the body,
therapeutic bodywork (an added option); and yoga, meditation, poetry,
and beautiful natural settings for the spirit. For me, the difficult
part of Djohariah's workshops has been leaving at the end
of the weekend!" -- Nancy R Bryant, Ph.D.
Imagine a native American Golda Meir, her compassionate, strong presence,
gentle heart, and the skillful means she brings to her work--an unforgettable
journey with a remarkable woman."
-- Joseph Nicoli, Pilates Instructor, Seattle, Washington
"I
first came to these retreats looking for a direction to my life and
trying to figure out why things felt so wrong. This started a
journey of healing; it led me on a path I could not have begun to imagine
and could never have traveled without the circle of women I grew to
know and love, without the rituals and prayers and tears, the times
in the desert, in the woods, on the beach. Creating
Process Training is all about relationship- relationship with ourselves (our mind, body,
spirit), with others close to us, and with the Divine. It’s
about going deep within and facing fears and making decisions that
give life. It’s
about finding a light within, a deep love that opens wells of more
light and more love, and it led me to become aware of a soul and spirit
I never knew existed within me. My everyday life changed and is
now filled with hope, realized longings, the ability to dream of a
future, and the ability to live more fully in the present with profound
gratitude." --
